I love to travel, to capture the look and feel of places, so that I may return to them at any moment. I love the simplicity of everyday life, the regularity of lines, the mystery of reflections, the wonder of colors, the perfection of flowers, the richness of markets, the balance of still-life, the power of the ocean, and the magic of changing light. I love the perfection and infiniteness of raindrops. I love city life, right down to its grungy graffitied side. I love the tranquility of landscapes, and how small, young and insignificant Nature often makes me feel. I love anything to do with maritime scenes. I love to capture fleeting moments, because it makes me feel like I can cheat time once in a while. I love symmetry, asymmetry, motion and stillness. I love Venice -- I love her most of all.

Looking through my lens, I've learned that almost anything can be beautiful and worth pausing for. Photography is a form of collecting and storytelling that makes me feel alive and inspired.

It makes me look. It makes me remember. It makes every day count.

Why the name "Veni Etiam" ?

'Veni Etiam' is a Latin phrase, meaning "come again". I chose this name as I have left many anchors in the world, and returning is an important part of me - for each time we return, we discover new hidden gems, new angles, new perspectives, and new beauty. No place is ever the same (and neither are we), and this is at once beautiful and tragic. 'Veni Etiam' is also a phrase used by 16th century Italian poet Luigi Grotto Cieco d'Adria to describe Venice and her effect on one's heart. As Venice is my deepest inspiration, this is my tribute to her.

"Ecco la città che, a tutti, ispira lo stupore…chi la vede una volta se ne innamora per la vita e non la lascia mai più, o se la lascia è per ritrovarla. Di questo desiderio di ritornarci che pesa su tutti quelli che la lasciarono prese il nome di VENETIA, come a dire a quelli che la lasciano, in una dolce preghiera VENI ETIAM, torna di nuovo” ~Luigi Grotto Cieco d’Adria, Venice, 1570
