The beauty of raindrops.
We can have a love-hate relationship with rain. It chases our sunshine away and inconveniences us, makes us feel humid and damp, and makes waiting for the bus more tiresome. But, it keeps things green and alive, gives us the wonder of reflections, and makes us better appreciate the sun when it comes out of hiding again.
I have learned to embrace rain when it comes. If I'm indoors, I listen to its rhythm, and watch what it does to the windowpanes, blurring the scene in a way that could never be replicated. If I'm outdoors, I am sure to be wearing galoshes, and I make a point to childishly traipse through puddles - just because. I search for reflections, for moody hues in the sky, droplets on petals and for a few extra minutes to hibernate in a cozy café.
This is an ode to raindrops - to their uniqueness, and the life they create.
From my heart to yours.
