If you're a dreamer and a restless traveler like me, your bucket list is probably long and ever-growing. Often, we have a "type" when it comes to destinations, yet some places inexplicably pull on us, before we even know much about them.
Mallorca is one of those places that had been on my list for a few years. I also think I'm currently in an island-phase of my life, fascinated by how island towns' rhythm and culture differ from the mainland. This spring, after a particularly difficult winter, I spontaneously decided to drop everything and fly to Mallorca to fill up on its blissful blue.

This spring, after a particularly difficult winter, I spontaneously decided to drop everything and fly to Mallorca to fill up on its blissful blue.
Before my plane even touched down, I was immediately struck by how diverse the landscapes were on the island. The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its remarkably crisp air, fearless mountain goats, and tranquil villages are just as awe-inspiring as the Mediterranean vistas that surprise you around the road's bend.

In Palma, the island's intriguing capital, Moorish echoes blend seamlessly with Gaudí's signature catalan Art-Nouveau style to give the city an entrancing pulse. The rugged coves on Mallorca's southeast coast are impossibly beautiful, their turquoise waters tumbling at the base of imposing cliffs and tiny boathouses.

When I look at the prints that are part of my Mallorca collection, I instantly lean into that appeasement I felt there, my senses completely flooded and my hope rekindled. The vivid blues, greens and almost edible textures of the island are etched into my mind, and I can still hear the mourning doves cooing over the crashing waves.
